About Casual
Born in Oakland, Casual is one of the most technically gifted MCs in West Coast hip-hop history. A Hieroglyphics Imperium co-founder, his 1994 debut Fear Itself arrived alongside ’93 ’til Infinity and helped define the sound of underground West Coast rap. He has released music consistently under the Hiero banner for over 30 years — always independent, always on his own terms.
